Kona is our special girl.
She left us as a baby to live with Holly and Cindy who took her to her Jr. and Adult International Championships as well as her first ARBA point while showering her with 2 years of love.  Kona, however is a young lady with a mind of her own: sharp as a tack and more than willing to take over the house and push the limits.

Kona is back at the Firehouse now and we are proud to call her one of "our girls" again.  Thank you to Holly and Cindy for raising this wonderful girl and for trying so hard!

Here at the ranch Kona is shaping up to be one of my best helpers with the sheep. Her shining moment was the day I was struggling to remove an errant ewe from the ram pasture. She watched (was that an amused look on her face?) for a few moments and then very purposefully came in, cut the ewe from the group of rams and put her right through the gate into the ewe pasture where she belonged.  My love and respect for Kona was forever sealed in that moment of desperation!!!

10/07:  Kona started her herding training under Terri Carver of Maximum Aussies and has earned her first herding title!!
